We call it a “chore” coat because it’ll help you complete just about anything, but damn is it nice to look good getting it all done. 100% organic cotton with blackened brass snaps.

- Spread collar
- Four pockets: two 7" x 6" side pockets, one 4.5" x 5.5" secondary pocket nested inside the left side pocket, and one 4.5" x 5.5" breast pocket
- Dolman sleeve with double pleated cuffs
- Adjustable sleeve opening
- Side slits for easy movement
- Back hanging loop
- Blue button down jacket
- Contrasting black color nested pocket
- Contrasting black color on the underside of the collar
- Fabric: 100% organic cotton grown, spun and finished in India
- Closure: NAOMI NOMI-branded black brass snaps, self fabric-covered button

- This pairs beautifully with the matching cotton New Oxford in Metropolitan. Please note that because of the distinct textures of the two fabrics, the shades are ever so slightly different, but still look absolutely smashing when styled together.

How I'm Made

This garment is made-to-order in our woman-founded, family-operated cut-and-sew factory in Queens. It takes about 3-4 weeks to cut, sew and finish the fabric into a garment from the time you complete your order. For exact lead times, select your fit and check below the Add to Cart button for a more accurate window. Sometimes we're running ahead of schedule :)

This shade is our ode to the iconic blue of the original 1840s French work jacket (“Bleu de Travail”), and a nod to the idea of works-in-progress. Perfect for lightweight layering… or getting the job done… or just dancing. You choose.

Even though all Chore Coats have the same measurements across sizes, different fabrics have different weights, which may impact the fit. The Merino Wool and The Organic Cotton Chore Coats are thicker, so we recommend sizing in accordance with your bust, or your preferred New Oxford fit. The Linen and The Indigo Hemp Chore Coats are on the lighter, roomier side, so we recommend sizing down from your typical shirt fit. Still unsure about your fit?
