The Shirtdress
Moonlight Blue Merino Wool
$358
It's a shirt. It's a dress. It's a coat. It's a wearable blanket. And it has four pockets. With locally-sourced, corozo buttons.
We've taken the cult-favorite New Oxford pattern and added length and fullness to create a multitasking dress that outperforms both functionally and aesthetically. Made in our signature, incredibly soft, moisture-wicking merino wool, it features corozo buttons that run from collar to hem, allowing you to wear it as a single-piece dress or completely open as the starting point to a toasty layered look. Two side pockets, a breast patch pocket, and large front patch pocket let you to go bagless as you tackle the day.
Nya, pictured here, has a 30" bust, 23.5" waist, and 36" hip and wears a size Small. With those measurements, she could also fit comfortably in an XS.
Why we make it:
Because we didn't want to have to choose between effortless, beautiful, and practical.
Layer it over a sweater, wear it like a wooly duster, or as a simple dress. No matter the occasion, it’s an easy decision that comes off as the most calculated choice.

Elevated Essential
Inspired by artists' smocks and oversized boys' button-downs, The Shirtdress is classic, elegant, and deeply practical.

Prepared for Everything
Two side pockets can handle your phone, wallet, charger, and keys. The breast pocket is where we keep our chapstick and phone. And the front patch pocket is large enough to hold a journal so you can quickly jot down your many moments of genius.

Oh So Low-Maintenance
Because it's incredibly odor-repelling and moisture-wicking, merino does not need to be washed after every use. That's great news because the majority of a garment's impact on our environment comes not from its production, but from its time spent being washed. As long as you're not doing aerobics classes in it, you can get away with dry cleaning this dress once or twice a season.

Deceptively Detailed Buttons
No plastic here. The corozo nut, also called the tagua nut, is a natural material commonly used for carving. That makes it perfect for the tiny sculptures that are shirt buttons. As an added touch, we dye ours to a sleek jet black, and sew them in with Moonlight thread that matches the shirt.
