The Easy Dress

Dalmatian Ikat
$245

The Easy Dress is like wearing a summer blanket that flatters. Soft, Indian ikat with a slubbed texture and our signature butt swoop. With a midi length and deep, deep pockets, avoid that thing some call “a handbag.”

Now in our first print, Dalmatian Ikat, emerge from winter the way we entered: sans pants and braless in the ultimate house/work dress.

Enzie, pictured here, has a 36" bust, 30" waist, and 38" hip and wears a size M. Curious how she fits the Large? Check out the Hudson.

Meet our Dalmatian Ikat

Introducing NAOMI NOMI’s first print: the Dalmatian Ikat. What makes Ikat fabric so unique? It's the dyeing of the yarn. The weavers start by tightly tying bundles of cotton yarn together to resist dye them. Only when the weavers finish dyeing do they then thread their looms. This traditional Indonesian dyeing technique – Ikat -- produces patterns that have a characteristic blurriness – because lining up the patterns on the dyed fibers along the warp and weft is really, really hard. But that blurriness? That’s what we, traditional weavers everywhere, love so much.

Our Ikat – in Dalmatian Black on White -- is dyed and woven in India from 100% cotton. It is ultra-breathable and soft to the touch. The perfect summer material.

Inspired by early 20th century shopgirl dresses and late 19th-century British fisherwoman garments, the Easy Dress is, at its core, a workhorse.

Throw it in the wash, hang it up to dry, toss it on the ground. It’ll love you back no matter what.

P.S. We don't wear a bra with it either.
